Paws For Life Announces June 2020 Adoptable Dog of the Month

Each month, we will feature one of our lovable pets that are available for adoption. If you are interested in adding this pet to your family and mention seeing this blog post you’ll receive a free collar and leash when you are approved and adopt your new companion!

This Month our adoptable dog is Marla!
Consider adding this loving and cheerful girl to your family. She would love to have a family to bond with, share hugs and kisses with, and take walks and play with.

Marla is a 55lb female Boxer/Hound mix. She has shorter legs and is on the large side of a medium-sized dog. She will bond quickly with anyone that shows her affection and is very sweet and lovable. Marla is great at giving hugs and would love to lay with you and rest her head on your leg.
A fenced in yard would be ideal for her as she loves to spend time running and playing. She needs stronger chew toys that can hold up to her playful excitement. Marla would be okay with a doggie sibling. She prefers one on one interaction. She prefers male dogs to female. Since she is part hound, she must be in a cat-free home. A home with older children would be ideal for her. Marla IS house trained, and she will tolerate a crate, but does not prefer it. She is a quick learner and eager to please.

All dogs adopted through Paws for Life are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, and are administered monthly flea and tick preventative. Please reach out to if you have any questions about Marla or any of our pets available for adoption. Registration is now open for our 18th Annual 5K & 1-Mile Dog Walk.

We are hosting our 18th annual 5K Race & 1-Mile Dog Walk on Saturday, October 17th, 2020, at the Wake Forest College Birthplace, Historical District. We would LOVE your support at our event so we can continue the mission of saving lives of homeless cats and dogs in “our” community. We do this by rescuing animals from local high-kill shelters and providing much-needed emergency medical care, surgeries, vaccinations, spays & neuters, micro-chipping, food, and lots of TLC through our foster program until they are placed in loving adoptive homes. Paws for Life NC has been dedicated to our community since 2002 and with your help we can make 2020 a great year for even more animals!
